Prof. (Mrs.) A.N. Mahajan from Electronics & Communication Engineering Department, Mrs .Chitra Kaul from Computer Science and Engineering Department and Mr. Vijender Hooda from  Information Technology Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a  seminar on ‘Alumni Leadership Masterclass’ organized by Saviance Technologies Pvt. Ltd . at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 23  November 2013.  The main focus of this seminar was to highlight various benefits of leveraging and engaging with alumni on a day to day basis in a structured and organized way.

During the seminar Mr. Joseph John shared his views  on ‘Laying foundation  for Alumni relations’.He emphasized that the Alumni Leadership Masterclass is aimed at bridging the gaps between the alumni, current students and staff creating a platform that equips the alumni relation officers to organize effective programs to engage with their respective alumni on a continuous basis and effectively leverage the network.

Ms. Aanchal Mehra from Saviance Technologies briefed the key role of her  company in organizing such seminars. Mr. Saurabh Gupta delivered his talk on ‘Reach out your Alumni using Digital marketing’. He said that digital markting helps  in maintaining  the database of Alumni. Prof. M. L. Singla of Faculty of Management Studies also delivered a talk on the importance of case studies.He further said that Alumni relations will help the participants to understand that the alumni engagement involves more than just database management and fund raising; it is a lifelong process for an institute to grow its brand over many years by engaging with its alumni.

The seminar was useful as the participants learnt new insights into a integrated approach towards Alumni relations.
