Divyanshu Chhabra (roll no 16526 ) and Ankit (roll no 16513 ) from the Department of Information Technology, Dronacharya College of Engineering, attended the 3 day Youth Leadership Summit held at IIM Bangalore from 26th to 28th September 2014. The event was a part of their annual fest IIMB Vista .

The summit was inaugurated by Professor Charan Singh ( Chair Professor of Reserve Bank of India ). The session was continued by Professor Pranav Garg (Professor at IIMB ) In this session, he talked about the qualities of an entrepreneur. His main focus was on strategic thinking and how can one’s instinct play a greater role in taking entrepreneurial decisions. He also gave a brief introduction of corporate strategy and planning. A case study was conducted under his guidance to let students develop the idea of planning a strategy and how to narrow down the choices while dealing with a larger amount. Prof. P.C Narayan took the afternoon session and briefed about various financial strategies of the market and how to deal with them. Day 1 ended with a corporate conclave which was a learning experience from the stalwarts of the Industry. The conclave was addressed by:

Professor Bringi Dev headed the second day by conducting the session on Business communication. He discussed the top 5 skills required in corporate world which are Oral Communication, Listening skills , Written communication , Presentation skills and most importantly Adaptability .

The evening session started with Ronnie Screwvala (Indian Entrepreneur and social philanthropist, founder and CEO of U.T.V group) addressing the listeners with entrepreneurial insights. Being one of the most inspiring speakers, he encouraged the upcoming entrepreneurs to take that one big leap in life. The next session which was the most candid and inspiring talk at IIM Banglore was conducted by Dr. Subramanian Swamy (Indian politician and economist). He gave real life examples of great Indian entrepreneurs and how a single decision changed their entire life.

The first and the last session of day 3 was conducted by Professor Mukta Kulkarni . She provided with a rich private sector consulting experience and international exposure. Her talk laid focus on behavior of individual in corporate world and with a touch of philosophy she kept her listeners amused.
